About Gorwell Farm Leisure & Holiday Cottages

Gorwell Farm is found in our own secret wooded valley just 2 miles from the village of Abbotsbury and Chesil Beach. Fantastic views of the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline stretch around as soon as you enter the farm. In addition the South West Coastal Path runs across the top of the farm.

Tucked away down a private well maintained lane, Gorwell also offers a quiet, peaceful location. The farm has a wide variety of bird life including numerous songbirds. Additionally we have varied wildlife and wild flowers too. Our night light comes from the stars and the moon. We are only 10 miles from the county town of Dorchester. Nearby you can also find the seaside town of Weymouth, the National Sailing Academy at Portland and the market town of Bridport.

Gorwell Farm provides an ideal all year round base from which to explore one of the finest unspoilt counties of England. Gorwell is a family farm and we aim to farm in an environmentally sound manner. We try and work with the old saying that we have not inherited this world from our ancestors but we are borrowing it from our children.

Each cottage is comfortably furnished to a particularly high standard and has central heating, as well as a log burner in the living room. Outside, the fenced garden has garden furniture. This is the perfect space to sit and relax or enjoy a barbeque. All the cottages have WiFi access. Play areas for children are situated within an easy distance. Our all-weather surface tennis court is available for all guests to use.

View each cottage below to choose which best suits your overall needs. Out cottages are perfect for just 1 or 2 people but also larger groups of friends and family holidaying together too. We can accommodate family parties, small wedding parties and craft courses in our stone barn. If you are hiring the barn for a ‘do your own wedding or party’ three cottages must be hired as well.

Visitors are welcome to help with the animals by prior arrangement. As this is a working farm we do ask that children are well supervised at all times.
