The Chesil Beach is unique for so many reasons. It stretches from Portland in the east to West Bay in the west and is part of the Lyme Bay area. From West Bay the coastline continues onto Lyme Regis. Weymouth with its beaches which are ideal for smaller children are ideal for those are looking for shallow waters to paddle and swim. East from Weymouth takes us to the smaller bays like Ringstead Bay which is a National Trust Beach with superb views of nearby Weymouth and Portland but is surrounded by unspoilt farmland and cliffs.
